There are now a huge amount of different cannabis strains, and cannabis seeds. Some of these have been given names that give a good indication as to their genetics, e.g. Hindu Kush Skunk, whereas others just have imaginative marketing names, e.g. The Pure (otherwise known as Skunk No. 1). Although Seedsman aims to use names for our cannabis seeds that give a good indication as to the genetics of cannabis strains, this is not always advantageous when strains have well established other names e.g. Northern Lights.
There are also some issues between differing seed companies that force them to use different names. See below for the same strains.
